\n

The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia has released a video showing the ongoing rescue operations. Following the dam collapse in Krasnoyarsk Krai, rescuers are searching for six individuals whose fate remains unknown.

The footage depicts the search efforts involving rescue equipment and helicopters. The scale of the disaster is evident, with a submerged village, flow of mud, and collapsed houses. The village of Shchetinkino was home to 174 residents. Fifteen people have been confirmed dead, while six are considered missing. Preliminary reports indicate that all of them were workers living in temporary accommodations provided by the company 'Sibzoloto.'

It is important to note that the dam on the Seiba River collapsed on the night of October 19. As a result of the incident, the workers’ trailer houses were submerged, potentially housing up to 80 individuals.

The gold-mining facility's dam in the Kuragino district of Krasnoyarsk Krai may have collapsed due to wear and tear. At the same time, it remains unclear who was responsible for monitoring the dam's condition, as the Yenisei department of Rostekhnadzor informed the agency that it was not included in the list of objects subject to supervision.
