Arthur Vardanyan Sues Eduard Sharmazanov

Arthur Vardanyan, considered the leader of an "armed group" neutralized on November 25, 2015, in Norq-Marashe, has filed a lawsuit against former Republican Party parliament member Eduard Sharmazanov.

Vardanyan is demanding that the court obligate the defendant to apologize and publicly refute what he considers defamatory information. He specifically refers to a post made by Sharmazanov on September 13.

It is noteworthy that after the court's decision to release Arthur Vardanyan on bail, Sharmazanov wrote on Facebook, stating: "The court in Armenia, which is run by Nikol, has released the leader of an armed group on bail. Essentially, Pashinyan is making deals with terrorists."

The lawsuit was submitted to the court on October 11 and has been assigned to Judge Naira Hovsepyan of the Court of General Jurisdiction of Yerevan.
