Republican Party is a Party of the Future: Sharmazanov

The Republican Party is currently the most viable opposition and a party of the future. Stay well. This was stated today, October 14, by the press secretary of Armenia, Eduard Sharmazanov, on his Facebook page.

In the post, it is mentioned, “You won’t wait for it. We will both criticize and fight. A false and artificial thesis has been circulated in the political arena that the former authorities, by fighting against Nikol's regime, ensure its longevity.

First. The terms former and current are artificial. A political force or figure is either viable and has an ideology or not. The message of politicians or parties is not measured by whether they were in power before or now; it is measured by the existence of doctrines on principled issues, the unwavering nature of the struggle, and the presence of teammates and followers.

At least the last 1.5 years have proven that the most principled and viable team in the opposition field is the Republican Party. Today’s Republicans are fighting, unlike those who roll barrels on them, and do not try to gain points from certain fake opposition members who relied on their goodwill in the past.

In contrast to you, guys, and in some cases also girls, our struggle is not against individuals but is principled and ideological, for a national and Christian Armenia. If the Republicans and your so-called former ones do not speak out and criticize the current regime, then who will speak?

If you were so struggling, you should have participated in elections and conveyed your message to the public. Were you hoping that we would struggle a little more, exhaust ourselves so that you could come with white gloves and say, ‘We are the new Messiah’? As our ally in Russia would say, ‘не дождетесь’ (you won’t wait).

The Republicans and their leaders have been imprisoned in Soviet gulags for their ideas and have fought against Azerbaijanis in war without flinching. So keep your hands off the Republican Party and unclog your ears. The Republican Party is currently the most viable opposition and a party of the future. Stay well.

P.S. The homeland is facing serious threats, and you are trying to assert yourselves by criticizing the former authorities. It’s a complete kindergarten.
