Our Armed Forces' Personnel Confidence in Their Strengths Has Increased: Pashinyan
Under the leadership of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, a meeting was held at the administrative complex of the Ministry of Defense, during which the results of the strategic exercises conducted from September 24 to October 5 were summarized.
Participants included Defense Minister Davit Tonoyan, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces Artak Davtyan, Secretary of the Security Council Armen Grigoryan, Mayor of Yerevan Hayk Marutyan, and high-ranking military personnel.
As reported by the public relations department of the Prime Minister's Office, Pashinyan noted in his remarks: “Today we are summarizing the results of the strategic exercises, and I want to emphasize that these exercises hold great significance for us. The real question of the exercises is to answer how ready our armed forces, public administration system, and society are to address the challenges before us. In this regard, the most important conclusion we can draw before the official summary is that the public demonstrated a very willing attitude and responded readily to the exercises. This is extremely important.”
Pashinyan emphasized that during this time, the government has taken and continues to take consistent steps to ensure the normal supply of weapons and equipment in Armenia. According to the Prime Minister, the exercises received a good response within the ranks of armed forces personnel, which was an important experience for them.
“We can conclude that as a result of these exercises, not only has our overall confidence in our forces and organizational resources increased, but also the confidence of our armed forces personnel, even the rank-and-file, in their own strengths and collective power has increased, and this is the most crucial observation. Of course, one of the most important conclusions of today's summary of the exercises should be that we need to identify the shortcomings that have been recorded and observed, and our upcoming work must be planned in a way that we undertake targeted efforts in that direction to elevate the readiness of the armed forces to a new level,” said Nikol Pashinyan.
The Prime Minister expressed confidence that the outcomes of today's discussions will be beneficial for the operational activities of the armed forces and, generally, for organizing the teamwork of our public administration system and society.
During the meeting, the Chief of the General Staff presented the comprehensive analysis and results of the exercises.
