Yerevan Traffic Police Chief Dismissed from Position

The acting head of the Police of Armenia, Arman Sargsyan, has issued orders regarding personnel changes within the Traffic Police.

In a conversation with Tert.am, Edgar Janoyan, the head of the Information Department of the Armenian Police, stated that the chief of Yerevan's Traffic Police has been dismissed from his position.

“Arman Hakobyan has been removed from his post and, by another decree from Sargsyan, has been appointed as the deputy for personnel in the RA Traffic Police. Vahan Eviinyan has been appointed as the new head of Yerevan's Traffic Police, who previously served as the commander of the 1st platoon of the 2nd police battalion,” he said.

Ashot Sayadyan, the commander of the 2nd police battalion, has been dismissed and sent to the reserve staff. Arsen Mardoyan has been appointed as the new commander of the 2nd police battalion.

According to Edgar Janoyan, another decree from the acting police chief has appointed Arthur Bekhtashyan as the deputy for personnel in Yerevan's Traffic Police, while Armen Sargsyan has been assigned as the head of the registration department's MRU in Yerevan.
