‘Joxovurd’: A Member of ‘My Step’ Group Tigran Galstyan Faces Complaints from Party Mate
‘Joxovurd’ newspaper reports that Tigran Galstyan, a member of the ‘My Step’ group in the Yerevan City Council, may face removal from his position. According to the newspaper’s sources, a party mate has filed a complaint with the ruling ‘Civil Contract’ party’s supervisory commission against Galstyan for publicly insulting him during one of the city council sessions. Galstyan has been given the option to either publicly apologize or resign from the council. However, he has not yet issued an apology, and in our conversation, he did not confirm facing any issue regarding his mandate.
Moreover, our sources indicate that this is not the only complaint filed with the party’s supervisory commission; team members often lodge complaints against one another. The commission’s chair, Sona Ghazaryan, informed the newspaper that there is even a form prepared that any party member can fill out to complain about others.
Currently, troubles are brewing for one of the ordinary party members. Ghazaryan did not disclose their name, but it is possible that they might be expelled from the party. Our information suggests that this individual’s troubles are directly linked to Garik Sargsyan, the governor of the Ararat region.
