Theft Cases Committed by 18 and 19-Year-Olds Revealed

As a result of extensive investigative actions conducted in the criminal case under investigation by the Shirak Regional Investigative Department of the Republic of Armenia's Investigative Committee, several theft cases have been uncovered. Charges have been brought against young individuals born in 2000 and 2001.

According to information provided by the Information and Public Relations Department of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia, a resident of Gyumri, born in 2000, in collusion with his acquaintance born in 2001, committed theft by illegally entering an apartment in the Ani neighborhood of Gyumri using technical means, causing particularly significant material damage to the citizen during the period from the beginning of July 2019 until September 9.

Additionally, the mentioned individuals entered a beauty salon, gym, and shop within the same city, carrying out actions that resulted in significant material damage.

As a result of the investigative actions and operational measures taken, the identities of the individuals suspected of committing the criminal acts were determined. Based on the gathered evidence, the 2000-born individual has been charged under Article 177, Part 3, Clause 1, 1.1, and Article 177, Part 2, Clauses 2 and 3 (3 episodes) of the RA Criminal Code, while the 2001-born individual is charged under Article 177, Part 3, Clause 1.1, and Article 177, Part 2, Clauses 2 and 3 (2 episodes).

As a measure of restraint, detention has been chosen for them. During searches, property obtained through criminal means has been discovered in their residences and accompanying structures. The pre-investigation is ongoing.
