System of a Down's Website Does Not Yet Include Yerevan in Tour Schedule

The world-renowned rock band System of a Down's concert in Yerevan has not yet been included in their European tour itinerary. The band's official website lists the dates for 14 concerts, starting from June 3 in the Netherlands and concluding on July 3 in Spain.

Serj Tankian, the band's lead vocalist, recently shared news about their potential performance in Armenia just two days ago, on October 9, during a panel discussion at the WCIT conference. He mentioned that Yerevan is on their list, although specific venues are still under discussion.

Tankian did not disclose a specific date for the concert, but indicated that they plan to come in June. Regardless, SOAD's schedule for June is already quite packed, with performances scheduled in various European cities on June 3, 5, 7, 8, 10, 14, 16, 17, 19, 23, 25, and 30.

This will be SOAD's second concert in Armenia in five years, having previously performed here on April 23, 2015, marking the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. That concert, held in Republic Square, was titled “Wake Up the Souls.”

News about the European tour was announced a few days ago, in early October. Tickets for the concert scheduled for June 30, 2020, in Spain are already sold out. Tickets for other cities range from 69 to 329 euros, with 69 euro tickets available in Budapest, Hungary, and 329 euro tickets in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
