Pashinyan and Aliyev Discuss Artsakh Issue During Lunch in Ashgabat: Karapetyan

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan participated in a final lunch organized by the hosting side, and during the meal, through alphabetical seating arrangements, Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev sat next to each other and engaged in conversation. This was reported to Tert.am by the Prime Minister's press secretary, Vladimir Karapetyan.

“Issues related to the resolution of the Artsakh conflict and the negotiation process were discussed,” he noted.

It is noteworthy that in the capital of Turkmenistan, Ashgabat, Prime Minister Pashinyan was attending a meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). The Telegram channel of Baghramyan 26 had informed that after an incident that occurred in Ashgabat, Pashinyan and Aliyev spoke for more than two hours.

It should be recalled that during the meeting of the council, Aliyev made accusations against the Armenian government and labeled Garegin Nzhdeh as a “supporter of fascism,” to which Pashinyan responded by calling for a respect for history and current leaders.
