Police in Hrazdan conducted operations that led to information regarding a 42-year-old man, previously convicted twice, residing in Hrazdan, who was illegally storing homemade firearms at his home and maintaining drugs in an auxiliary building on the premises.

This information was provided by the Public Relations and Information Department of the Police of Armenia. On October 9, a criminal case was initiated at the Hrazdan police station. The following day, based on a court order, searches were conducted at the aforementioned house and the auxiliary building. As a result, a homemade firearm capable of firing 7.62 mm caliber ammunition, a homemade device of the "TOZ" type, 9 rounds of 5.45 mm caliber ammunition, 16 rounds of 7.62 mm caliber ammunition, and 10 cartridges for a hunting rifle were discovered in the house's basement. Additionally, a cartridge case for a hunting rifle, 9 rounds of "TOZ" ammunition, gunpowder marked "Sokol," and materials for making hunting rifle cartridges were also found.

The homeowner stated that the discovered items belonged to him, claiming he brought the cartridges from Artsakh three years ago and had made the homemade firearm and the device himself in the basement. The items have been confiscated. A forensic examination has been appointed, and the investigation is ongoing.
