Court Acquits Young People Who Vandalized Car in Yerevan

The Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction, presided over by Judge Artush Gabrielyan, acquitted five defendants involved in a vandalism case that occurred on January 17, at the intersection of Liberty Avenue and Nairi Zaryan Street.

According to the court's ruling, the young individuals were acquitted of charges under the hooliganism article, as their actions were categorized under Article 185 of the RA Criminal Code (intentional destruction of another's property). However, the criminal prosecution was discontinued due to the absence of a complaint from the victim.

It is noteworthy that the sensational incident took place on January 17 in Yerevan. A group of young people exited a vehicle with license plate 35 ZL 140, a brand Opel, and attacked a Mercedes vehicle with the license plate 34 SF 304, smashing windows and hitting the car. Following this, one of the assailants fired a shot from a gun at the fleeing Mercedes.
