60 Programs for Temporary Employment of the Unemployed to Be Established
In 2019, 60 programs are planned to be created in 10 regions of Armenia through the organization of paid public work for ensuring the temporary employment of the unemployed, with a budget of 90 million AMD.
To date, 48 programs have been implemented, 8 of which are still ongoing. A total of 356 beneficiaries have been involved in these programs, including 26 individuals with disabilities.
The projects encompass landscaping and improvement works in the areas adjacent to kindergartens, schools, and community culture centers, as well as fencing and beautification of inter-community and intra-community roads, sidewalks, parks, playgrounds, and cemeteries.
The number of communities involved in the programs is 47, including 31 rural and 16 urban communities. The maximum duration of each program is three months, and the payment for one working day amounts to 5,000 AMD, inclusive of income tax and, where applicable, the targeted social payment as defined by law.
The maximum value of a single program is 1,500,000 AMD.
