Gunshots: 29-Year-Old Male Shot Dead, Details

The investigation is underway at the Malatia-Sebastia administrative district of the RA Investigative Committee, focusing on clarifying all circumstances surrounding the murder of a 29-year-old male on Andranik Street.

According to the press service of the Investigative Committee, a call was received on October 9, 2019, at 21:10, reporting gunfire in the yard of a building on Andranik Street in the H.A. district of Yerevan. An investigative-operational group promptly arrived at the scene.

On the same day at 22:15, a report was received from the “Erebuni” medical center about the transfer of an unidentified male body with gunshot wounds from the southwestern district of Yerevan. Following the incident, the Investigative Committee of the RA initiated a criminal case under Part 1 of Article 104 and Part 1 of Article 235 of the RA Criminal Code.

The head of the investigative department decided to form an investigative team. Throughout the pre-trial process, a series of urgent investigative actions were carried out, including interrogations and inspections of the crime scene, where four cartridges and one bullet were discovered, along with blood-like traces, and samples were collected.

As a result of the measures taken, the identity of the victim was established; he is a 29-year-old resident of Yerevan, born in 1990. For the clarification of significant circumstances related to the criminal case, forensic medical, ballistic, biological, and trace forensic examinations were appointed. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing, with urgent investigative and operational-search measures being implemented to clarify all circumstances of the incident and to identify the person suspected of committing the alleged crime.

Instructions have been issued to the investigative body.
