Government to Allocate Funds to Hayantar for Forest Restoration

The government of Armenia will provide 424 million AMD in the form of a grant to the Hayantar State Non-Commercial Organization for forest restoration work in the Lori, Tavush, and Syunik regions.

This information was presented during the government meeting on October 10 by Minister of Environment Eric Grigoryan.

“It is planned to allocate 424 million from the budgeted amount of 425 million 840 thousand AMD as a grant to Hayantar for forest restoration efforts, while 1.2 million will be returned to the reserve fund. These activities are unprecedented. Approximately 150 hectares of forest restoration and various other works will be carried out,” Grigoryan stated.
