DAF Truck Rolls Over; Container with 3 Cars Inside Falls into Ravine
On October 10, at 00:05, the emergency service received a call reporting a traffic accident on the Shirok region's Ashtarak-Gyumri highway, at the 15th kilometer. A truck with a trailer had tipped over, rendering the road impassable. Fortunately, there were no injuries, and the assistance of rescue services was deemed necessary.
A firefighting and rescue team from the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the scene. It was determined that a DAF truck (driver: Pite M., born in 1959) had veered off the roadway and tipped over, causing the 12-meter-long container attached to the trailer—carrying three cars inside—to detach and roll approximately 25 meters into the ravine.
The rescuers managed to right the vehicle and bring it back onto the road, securing the area. Special equipment will be required to retrieve the container.
