Fatal Accident Involving Pedestrian

A fatal pedestrian accident occurred in the Gegharkunik region. Last night, a 59-year-old citizen of the Republic of Artsakh, Edward G., was driving a Ford Transit vehicle with license plate 21 LТ 962 when he reversed on the first street of section A in the village of Verin Getashen and struck an 82-year-old resident of the same neighborhood, Zarkhalam S.

According to reports from Shamshyan.com, the driver did not flee the scene, while the pedestrian was transported to the Martuni Medical Center, where he passed away 1.5 hours later without regaining consciousness. Investigative materials are being prepared regarding the incident. By order of the investigator, the vehicle has been moved to a secure storage area of the Martuni police station.
