Tina Kandelaki Talks About When She Plans to Lead Georgia

Famous host with Armenian and Georgian roots, Tina Kandelaki, who is the main producer of the Russian channel "Match TV," discussed the possibility of engaging in political activities in Georgia in an interview with "Sputnik Georgia." In response to the journalist's question, she stated that she has numerous projects in Russia that she needs to implement and complete.

“Soon I will turn 44, and around 50, I can still think about that. But under what circumstances? If I realize that no one has been able to change the relations between Georgia and Russia over those six years. That’s when I will be ready to sacrifice a lot—my personal life, my comfort, because the ambitious type of person I am, if I come, I like to win,” she said in the interview.

She noted that her presence in politics would generate just as many smiles as Vladimir Zelensky’s, but her managerial mind has taught her that behind every high position lies more challenges, responsibilities, and a willingness to sacrifice, which she is not ready for at this moment.

“If I go into Georgian politics, it will only be to achieve results. The result for me, of course, is not to become the Prime Minister of Georgia. I can only go there for one purpose—to make Russia the most important strategic partner of Georgia,” Kandelaki stated.
