BREAKING: Valery Osipyan Submits Resignation from Position of Chief Advisor to the Prime Minister

According to reliable sources from Aysor.am, former Chief of Police Valery Osipyan has submitted his resignation from the position of Chief Advisor to the Prime Minister of Armenia.

It is noteworthy that after his dismissal from the position of Chief of Police on September 18, 2019, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan signed a decree appointing Osipyan as his Chief Advisor. On the same day, it was reported that Osipyan learned about his appointment through the media.

Having been opposed to his appointment, Osipyan refused to return to work, which led the government’s personnel department to put the former Chief of Police on leave without his knowledge. Today marks the end of that leave; however, instead of returning to work, Osipyan opted to submit his resignation.

We attempted to contact Valery Osipyan for a comment, but he did not respond to our phone calls throughout the day.
