What Causes the Congestions at Upper Lars
The congestions at the northern customs points of Armenia are attributed to the active flow of vehicles from the Upper Lars checkpoint on the border with the Russian Federation and the Republic of Georgia heading towards our country.
Vehicles have been accumulating at Upper Lars for days and are now approaching Armenia’s customs points in large batches. This information was provided by the Public Relations and Information Department of the RA State Revenue Committee.
The State Revenue Committee assures that all resources are being employed at the customs points to process customs clearance as expediently as possible and to eliminate any additional obstacles.
At the same time, Georgian partners have informed the SRC that there have been technical issues on the Georgian side in recent hours, which resulted in a decrease in vehicle throughput for several hours. However, these issues have currently been resolved, and the movement of vehicles has resumed.
