Contracted Military Personnel Injured in Accident
Today, on October 4, a major traffic accident occurred in the Ararat region. At approximately 20:40, vehicles including a Lexus GX 450 with license plate 70 RR 900, a VAZ 2106 with license plate 35 OT 965, and two Opel cars with license plates 36 AT 003 and 36 LR 029 collided on the 54th km of the Margara-Vanadzor highway.
According to journalist Gagik Shamshyan, who reported from the scene, five individuals were injured, with three being transferred to medical centers in Ashtarak and two to those in Aparan.
Authorities are currently working to establish the identities of the drivers and the injured. Witnesses at the scene indicated that among the injured were contracted military personnel of the Armenian Ministry of Defense, and military uniforms were found in one of the vehicles.
Representatives from insurance companies also arrived promptly at the scene. Rescuers have disconnected the vehicles, secured the gas cylinders, and cordoned off the area.
