Car Falls into River in Hrazdan Gorge, Injuries Reported

On October 3, at 11:15 PM, a call was received by the "911" service reporting that a vehicle had fallen into a gorge in the Davtashen administrative district of Yerevan, and there were injuries. Emergency services dispatched a firefighting team from the Rescue Department of the Emergency Situations Ministry in Yerevan, a rescue unit from the specialized notarial rescue activities center, an operational group from the National Crisis Management Center, and a psychologist in the psychological support division, as well as a duty doctor from the disaster medicine center.

It was determined that in the Hrazdan gorge, on the stretch of road leading from the Davtashen Bridge to the "Tumo Center for Creative Technologies," a Kia Forte vehicle (driver: Tigran S., born in 2001) veered off the roadway and fell into the river. Before rescuers arrived on the scene, the driver and his passenger (Vahe Gh., born in 2004) managed to exit the vehicle and swim to the opposite bank of the river.

Rescuers transported the injured to the other bank of the river. They were hospitalized at "Astghik" Medical Center, where doctors assessed their condition as satisfactory. The psychologist from the psychological support division provided psychological assistance to the relatives of the injured.
