Mysterious Incident: Body of a Man Discovered in Sevan with Mouth and Parts of Arms Taped (Photos)

On October 2, a mysterious incident occurred in the Gegharkunik region. At around 1:40 PM, the Armenian Police received a call reporting a man's body at the 'Astghik' beach in Sevan's administrative area.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, operational teams from the Gegharkunik regional police and the Sevan police department were dispatched to the scene. A group from the Gegharkunik regional investigative department of Armenia's Investigative Committee also arrived.

Police and investigators discovered the body of 73-year-old Sahak Sahakyan, a resident of the central district of Hrazdan, at the beach. Upon retrieving the body from the water, they found that his mouth and parts of his arms were taped with duct tape.

As a result, a criminal investigation has been initiated by the head of the Sevan investigative department, Edik Petrosyan, and a special investigative team has been formed to prepare materials on the case.
