«No one has the right to say that Vanetsyan threw his epaulettes in the trash» - Sasun Mikayelyan

Arthur Vanetsyan is my friend, and he will remain my friend. We have traveled this path together. This was stated today, September 24, during a conversation with journalists by the president of the Yerkrapah Volunteer Union, Sasun Mikayelyan.

In response to the remark that Vanetsyan called for sobriety in his resignation statement, Mikayelyan said, “We all need to come to our senses.”

When asked if he agrees that Vanetsyan “threw his epaulettes in the trash,” as Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had claimed, Sasun Mikayelyan replied, “No one has the right to say such a thing. No one has that right. I have worn epaulettes myself.”

It should be noted that on September 23, during a press conference held in Los Angeles, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, addressing Vanetsyan's resignation statement, said that this statement was made while he was de jure the director of the NSS, which means that Vanetsyan issued a statement against his supreme commander.

“There is no greater disgrace for a soldier’s honor than this... It means throwing the epaulettes into the trash,” Pashinyan had said.
