I am the first leader of Armenia to say that the settlement must also be acceptable to Azerbaijan. Pashinyan
The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, expects Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to accept the proposed framework for the resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, according to which any solution must be acceptable to the people of Armenia, the people of Artsakh, and the people of Azerbaijan.
“We are ready to find solutions for the peaceful resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. My message is that any solution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict must be acceptable to the peoples of Armenia, Artsakh, and Azerbaijan. I am the first leader of Armenia to say that the settlement must also be acceptable to Azerbaijan. For this reason, I have been criticized in Armenia, but it is important for the peaceful resolution of the conflict. Now I expect that Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev will also say and accept the same framework,” Pashinyan stated in an interview with Fox LA reporter Araksya Karapetyan.
The Prime Minister noted that if his Azerbaijani counterpart accepts this framework, they will be quite close to a peaceful resolution of the issue.
Nikol Pashinyan expressed confidence that the United States will recognize the Armenian Genocide. “It is inevitable. The United States will recognize the Armenian Genocide. I am not sure when exactly this will happen, but I am confident it will take place,” the Prime Minister said.
