Revolution Must Have Long-Lasting Impact, Says Nikol Pashinyan
The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, believes that the economic revolution should have a lasting impact on the development of the economy and the lives of people. According to Armenpress, the Prime Minister expressed this view at a business conference in Los Angeles.
“Armenia is known for its rich cultural heritage, vibrant history, hospitality, and beautiful landscapes. However, this is not enough to fully complete our country's image. Today we are changing the way we manage our country and economy. At the same time, we must ensure that the Armenian economy is dynamic and responsive to the changes happening in the world. Last year, the people of Armenia chose change; we chose freedom and democracy, showing that nothing is stronger than the belief and actions of the people. Nevertheless, political changes are only the first step,” said the Prime Minister, noting that the economic revolution is currently underway in our country.
He elaborated that this means the government is saying no to corruption and monopolies, encouraging the creativity and talent of the people, and making the Armenian economy competitive both in the region and globally. “I believe that our reforms are long-term and strategic. Therefore, the economic revolution must have a lasting impact on the development of the country's economy and the lives of the people,” said the Prime Minister, sharing the positive economic indicators already recorded in Armenia.
