‘Ara Mkhitaryan is fighting for his life today’ – Lieutenant Colonel’s friends protest
Friends of Lieutenant Colonel Ara Mkhitaryan, who was assaulted in the Vayots Dzor region, are staging a protest in front of the government building, demanding justice for those who attacked him.
‘The governor of Vayots Dzor, with all his forces, is trying to distance himself from this situation and shift the blame onto the officer,’ said one of Mkhitaryan's comrades in a conversation with reporters.
They are calling for a fair investigation into the matter. ‘Ara Mkhitaryan is fighting for his life today; his chances of survival are one percent. God forbid he does not die,’ said a friend.
It is noteworthy that on September 18, at 00:20, Ara Mkhitaryan, a military officer from Shirak Province, was transferred unconscious to the ‘Yeghhegnadzor Medical Center.’ It was revealed that he suffered bodily injuries on September 17 at approximately 23:40 during an argument regarding clarifications in a yard of a building in Yeghhegnadzor. The alleged assailant, a resident of Yeghhegnadzor born in 1991, struck the officer in the head with a fist, causing him to fall.
