Fire Breaks Out in Syunik Province Forest, Threatening Residential Areas

A fire has broken out in a forest area near the villages of Lichq and Tashdum in Syunik Province. The Ministry of Emergency Situations has dispatched two firefighting units to the scene. According to SHANTNEWS.am, the fire is becoming increasingly active, and the flames are now visible from the village.

The blaze is occurring in a wooded area amidst mountains, but the villages of Lichq and Tashdum are in close proximity. A wind has risen recently, and gusts are expected throughout the day, raising concerns that the fire may spread further.

The Communications Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations promised to provide updates on the scale of the fire and the firefighting efforts underway.
