Nune Sargsyan Highlights the Importance of Promoting Entrepreneurship Among Women
Today, the First Lady of the Republic, Nune Sargsyan, met with a delegation led by the president of the Armenian General Benevolent Union (AGBU), Perch Sedrakyan. The delegation included AGBU Council member and AGBU Armenia president Vazgen Yakubyan, AGBU Armenia Executive Director Dalar Kazanjyan, AGBU Women's Entrepreneurship Program Director Tatevik Manukyan, and AGBU Women Empowerment Initiative advisor Hasmik Hayrapetyan.
The participants presented to Mrs. Sargsyan the programs and projects implemented and ongoing by AGBU, which encompass sectors such as education, culture, arts, agriculture, humanitarian initiatives, and more.
Emphasizing the significance of AGBU's activities, Mrs. Sargsyan noted that although AGBU was established in the early last century, it continues to remain a youthful organization through its work. “You move in parallel with time, keep your mind alert, and constantly strive to be useful,” stated Nune Sargsyan.
During the meeting, particular attention was paid to AGBU's efforts to enhance the role of women and especially the programs and projects aimed at promoting entrepreneurship among women. An agreement was reached to discuss potential joint projects in future meetings.
