Details on the Gunshots in Vanadzor
On September 19, at 12:10 PM, the police department of Taron received a report from the hospital that a 28-year-old resident of Yerevan had been transferred to their facility with a gunshot wound to the head, near the clothing market in Vanadzor. This information was provided by the police.
An operational group discovered that the young man sustained his injuries at around 11:50 AM on the same day, on Gorky Street in Vanadzor, as a result of gunshots fired from a hunting rifle by an unidentified individual.
During the examination of the crime scene, 3 cartridges and 1 slug from a hunting rifle were retrieved.
A criminal case has been initiated by the Lorri Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee under Articles 34-104 and 235 of the RA Criminal Code.
On the same day, thanks to the collaborative efforts of the officers from the main criminal investigation department, the Lorri regional department, and the Taron division, it was established that at around 11:50 AM on September 19, a 31-year-old resident of Vanadzor shot at the young man using a "Churchill" type hunting rifle.
The hunting rifle has been identified and confiscated. A forensic examination has been appointed.
Measures are being taken to locate the 31-year-old male suspect. The investigation is ongoing.
