Details on the Expert Conclusion Regarding the Death of 'Bread Bringer' Arthur Sargsyan

According to the newspaper 'Zhoghovurd', 'Whose conscience bears the death of “Bread Bringer” Arthur Sargsyan? It has been 2.5 years since his death, and the Investigative Committee of Armenia is still examining who benefited from keeping a person with such health issues under custody and bringing him to the brink of death.

'Zhoghovurd' newspaper has revealed exclusive information regarding his health condition and compatibility with detention in the expert conclusion. In particular, a new circumstance has emerged in the criminal case: one of the experts admitted to law enforcement that they were at fault for incorrectly concluding that A. Sargsyan could remain in custody despite his health issues.

So, what stage is the criminal case at? The Prosecutor General's Office informed 'Zhoghovurd' that 'The investigation of the initiated criminal case is ongoing, and a new forensic medical examination has been appointed.' This means that the new examination aims to clarify how credible the previously given conclusion was.

Recall that on May 14, 2019, MP Taguhi Tovmasyan publicly announced, 'When the second examination was conducted at the National Bureau of Expertises of the Academy of Sciences and it was stated that the “Bread Bringer” does not have a disease incompatible with detention, shortly after, the one who provided the conclusion was appointed as the director of the bureau.' Now, it turns out experts were mistaken, but Sargsyan is already deceased.'
