New Details on the Attempted Murder in Agavnatuan Village
Police officers and investigators from the Investigative Committee have identified the participants in the attempted murder that occurred on September 17 in Agavnatuan village, according to Shamshyan.com.
On that day, gunshots were heard, and three individuals were hospitalized with gunshot wounds; two were admitted to Erebuni, and one to Vagharsapat medical centers.
Authorities determined that the injured persons sustained their gunshot wounds during a dispute that took place at the intersection of N. Matevosyan and S. Avagyan streets in Agavnatuan village with locals—28-year-old Mkhitar Gazazyan, 44-year-old Arman Kirakosyan, and 25-year-old Harutyun Harutyunyan.
A criminal case has been initiated under Article 34-104, Part 2, Clause 6, Article 235, Part 1, and Article 258, Part 4 of the RA Criminal Code. The police and the investigative unit are carrying out necessary operational-investigative and joint investigative actions to discover the mentioned individuals as well as the firearms used in the crime.
Earlier reports indicated that at around 22:40 on September 17, the Vagharsapat medical center contacted the police, stating that a citizen, 30-year-old Garush Sahakyan, had been admitted with gunshot wounds and knife injuries. Additionally, the Erebuni medical center reported that two residents from the same village, 33-year-old Karen Alaverdyan, diagnosed with “polytrauma, gunshot wound to the right side of the chest,” and 37-year-old Avag Alaverdyan, diagnosed with “gunshot wounds to the right and left lower limbs,” were brought in.
