Major Fire in Haytag Village: Young People Fight Against Roof Fires
Today, on September 18, a significant fire occurred in the Armavir region. Around 16:50, the operational management center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations received a call reporting that roofs were burning on Menua Street in Haytag village.
According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, while firefighters from the Emergency Situations Ministry were en route from Vagharshapat, then from Armavir and Yerevan, the villagers, mainly older men and young boys, risked their lives to combat the spreading fire.
Firefighters who arrived at the scene continued to work alongside citizens to fight the fire, eventually extinguishing several flames that had erupted in various houses.
According to G. Shamshyan, the affected property owners are Yeghishe Khachatryan, Patvakan Sirakanyan, and Marat Ghambaryan, whose homes are numbered 29, 31, and 33 on the mentioned street. The roofs of number 29 and number 31 houses were completely burned, while the roof of number 33 was partially damaged.
