Brawl in Vayots Dzor Province Involves Defense Ministry Servicemen and Governor's Assistant
On September 18, a brawl occurred in Vayots Dzor Province. According to Shamshyan.com, citing its own sources, at approximately 00:20, the police department in Yeghegnadzor received a call from the Yeghegnadzor medical center reporting that an individual had been transported to them in an unconscious state.
The police discovered that the hospitalized individual was 43-year-old Ara Mkhtaryan, a resident of Shirak Province, who was admitted with a diagnosis of cerebral trauma and coma. While doctors are fighting for the victim's life, the police in Vayots Dzor have determined that he was brought to the center from the yard of house number 5 on Arsenyan Street, adjacent to the ‘Bonus’ shopping center in Yeghegnadzor, where a dispute had taken place between him and several of his colleagues.
Ara M. and his colleagues serve in the Armenian Ministry of Defense’s military unit N. It was initially thought at the hospital that he had sustained his injuries as a result of being hit by a vehicle.
According to reports, the assistant to the Vayots Dzor governor, Harutyun Grigoryan, is also suspected of involvement in the brawl. He reportedly noticed the individuals involved while returning home late at night and made a comment regarding some issue, leading to the escalation of the argument.
