Attempted Murder of Three Residents in Armavir

The Armavir regional investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia is conducting an investigation into the circumstances of an attempted murder of three residents in the Armavir region. This was reported by the Investigative Committee.

On September 17, 2019, at 22:40, a report was received from the "Vagharshapat" Medical Center that a resident of the village of Aghavnatun, born in 1989, had been admitted with a diagnosis of "gunshot wound to the right thigh, damage to the femoral arteries, external bleeding, hemorrhagic shock of the 3rd or 4th degree." At 23:10 the same day, a report was also received from the "Erebuni" Medical Center regarding two other residents from the same village, born in 1986 and 1982, diagnosed respectively with "polytrauma, gunshot wound to the right side of the chest" and "gunshot wounds to the right and left lower extremities."

The investigative-operational group immediately headed to the scene of the incident. A criminal case has been initiated in the Vagharshapat investigative department of the Armavir regional investigative administration under the features of Article 34-104, Part 2, and Article 235, Part 1 of the RA Criminal Code.

According to the information provided by the doctors, the injured individuals are unable to provide explanations. A forensic and medical examination has been appointed. The preliminary investigation is ongoing. Necessary measures are being taken to clarify all the circumstances of the case and to identify the person or persons who committed the alleged crime.
