11th Grade Student Hits 7th Grade Girl in Armavir
On September 16, an accident occurred in the Armavir region. At around 5:00 PM, 16-year-old Albert N., a resident of Aygek village, hit a pedestrian, 12-year-old Meri Kh., also from the same village, with his BMW vehicle (license plate 36 CQ 040) in front of building No. 20 on Yerevan Highway.
According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, the injured girl was taken to the Surb Astvatsamayr Medical Center in Yerevan with bodily injuries.
Arriving at the scene were officers from the 1st platoon of the 2nd police battalion, led by platoon commander Karen Abelian. An operational group from the Vagharshapat police department also arrived, headed by the community police unit inspector.
On-site investigative work was led by investigator Gevorg Hovhannisyan of the same platoon, who is preparing materials concerning the incident. Traffic police and Vagharshapat police officers discovered the vehicle, which had been removed from the accident site by bystanders, mistakenly believing that the police would not know about the incident.
According to G. Shamshyan's information, both the driver and the injured girl are students at Aygek High School, with the driver in the 11th grade and the pedestrian in the 7th grade.
