Armenian Wrestlers' Opponents Revealed for World Championship

The World Wrestling Championships will kick off on September 14 in Nur-Sultan. Today, the draw for the first day of competitions has been conducted. The opponents of the Armenian wrestlers have been announced.

In the 55 kg weight category, Norayr Hakobyan will start his journey in the qualifying round, competing against Japanese wrestler Shota Ogawa. In the 63 kg category, Slavyk Galstyan will face Azerbaijani Elman Mukhtarov in the round of 16. In the 72 kg category, Malkhas Amoyan will take on Serbian Aleksa Erski in the qualifying round. In the 82 kg category, Maxim Manukyan will compete against Kyrgyz wrestler Kalyidin Asikeev.

It is worth mentioning that Armenia is represented in Kazakhstan by Norayr Hakobyan (55 kg), Gevorg Garibyan (60 kg), Slavyk Galstyan (63 kg), Karen Aslanyan (67 kg), Malkhas Amoyan (72 kg), Karapet Chalyan (77 kg), Maxim Manukyan (82 kg), Arthur Shahinyan (87 kg), and Arthur Aleksanyan (97 kg).
