76 Football Fields to Be Built in Armenia's Regions: UEFA

The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, has received UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin, who is visiting Armenia. Also present at the meeting was Arthur Vanetsyan, the President of the Armenian Football Federation.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister welcomed Mr. Čeferin's visit to Armenia and emphasized the importance of close and effective cooperation between the Armenian Football Federation and UEFA for the development of football in the country. Nikol Pashinyan specifically highlighted UEFA's support for the development of football infrastructure in Armenia and noted that as a result, various programs aimed at popularizing football are being implemented in the country.

Pashinyan expressed confidence that Mr. Čeferin's visit would contribute to discussions and implementation of new collaborative projects with the Armenian Football Federation, including the construction of a national stadium in Armenia.

Aleksander Čeferin thanked the Prime Minister for the warm welcome and for keeping the development of football in focus. The UEFA President expressed satisfaction with the cooperation with the partners of the Armenian Football Federation and stated that his organization will continue to support the development of football in Armenia, including improving infrastructure.

Specifically, it was noted that with UEFA's support, 76 artificial turf football fields are planned to be built in Armenia's regions this year, along with providing the Armenian Football Federation with necessary sports equipment and implementing programs to develop futsal and women's football.

Mr. Čeferin pointed out that football has become a separate industry in the modern world, where enormous financial resources are in circulation. Both interlocutors agreed that football plays a significant role in social life, uniting and bringing people together.

During the meeting, they also discussed several other issues related to upcoming projects planned under the cooperation between the Armenian Football Federation and UEFA.
