Direct: Sanitary Cleaning Services in Yerevan to be Implemented through the Fund

The first session of the 3rd session of the Yerevan City Council has commenced. The agenda includes 12 items. During today’s meeting, the issue of expanding the activities of the "Yerevan Garbage Collection and Sanitary Cleaning" community fund and the necessity of increasing the number of positions will be discussed. It is planned to increase the number of positions to 635.

"Considering that the Armenian branch of 'Sanitek' LLC and 'Sanitek International' LLC are not fulfilling their contractual obligations for the provision of services across the entire administrative territory of Yerevan, the garbage collection and sanitary cleaning services in the twelve administrative districts of Yerevan will be carried out through the Fund.

A necessity has arisen to adopt the proposed decision project to ensure the implementation of the mandatory powers assigned to the Mayor of Yerevan," states the project.
