Robbery at 'Green' Supermarket in Yerevan: Fireproof Safe Looted
The Investigative Committee of Armenia has initiated a criminal case in Yerevan’s Shengavit investigative division on the grounds of robbery. According to Shamshyan.com, on September 4, at around 06:50, the operational management center of the Yerevan Traffic Police received a report about damaged vehicles in a location known as 'Papi’s Garden' in the Ayntap village.
A police operational group from Shengavit district was dispatched to the scene and determined that, between the hours of 03:00 and 05:30, unknown individuals had used technical means to open a window at the 'Green' supermarket located in the Noragavit district and entered the flour sales area. Inside, they broke open the door of a fireproof safe and stole the money contained therein. The robbers then fled the scene in a Mercedes vehicle with license plate 34 XZ 437.
During the escape, the Mercedes collided with a Volkswagen Golf. Subsequently, the Volkswagen gave chase as the suspects abandoned the Mercedes in the 'Papi’s Garden' and fled on foot.
