VIDEO. "I Couldn't Focus in a Tense Atmosphere. Once Again, I Apologize": Arsen Torosyan
The Minister of Health of Armenia has apologized to reporters during a live Facebook broadcast for interrupting a press conference. "I couldn't focus in a tense atmosphere. Once again, I apologize," said Arsen Torosyan.
"My wife does not own a medical institution, but simply is the director of a medical institution," Torosyan stated during the live broadcast, addressing a comment made by hematologist Gevorg Tamamyan after the interruption of his press conference today.
"The absurdity is that they do not even know simple numbers. Where did they get 2.7 billion from? The budget for inaccessible research is 100 million drams, and various institutions have been allocated amounts ranging from 5 to 10 million drams based on their attendance. This information is publicly accessible. It would be good for those concerned, professional oncologists to read the simple information before making statements, or for those who prepare or remind them to read a bit more," the minister stated.
“The fact that it was a show raises no doubts or confusion, as even the paper he came with, he didn’t even know what was written on it. How does referencing my personal life relate to such a concerned oncologist? My position during my service in the army, my personal health, or my attitude towards this or that phenomenon,” emphasized Health Minister Arsen Torosyan during the Facebook live broadcast, referring to the incident that occurred during the morning press conference.
As previously reported, pediatric oncologist and former advisor to the minister Gevorg Tamamyan disrupted the press conference of Armenian Health Minister Arsen Torosyan.
