Pedestrian Struck by Car Crossing at Unauthorized Section in Yerevan

Today, September 3rd, a traffic accident occurred in Yerevan. According to Shamshyan.com, around 10:15 AM, the driver of a Mercedes vehicle with license plate 36 CN 321 hit a pedestrian who was crossing the street at an unauthorized section in front of the ‘Paradise’ restaurant complex on Acharyan Street.

The driver did not flee the scene, instead calling for an ambulance at 1-03 and assisting medical personnel who arrived on-site to transport the injured person to St. Gregory the Illuminator Medical Center. The driver then alerted the Yerevan Road Police Operational Management Center.

The police are currently investigating the identities of the driver and the injured pedestrian. Witnesses at the scene reported that the victim had been driving a Lada vehicle with license plate 35 GQ 953, which was parked next to the ‘Paradise’ restaurant, and attempted to cross the street at an unauthorized section, resulting in the incident.
