24-Year-Old Mother Dies at Margaryan Maternity Hospital

A tragic incident has recently occurred in Yerevan. According to Shamshyan.com, relatives of 24-year-old Luiza Avetisyan, a resident of the Malatia-Sebastia administrative district of Yerevan, expressed their outrage in an interview with a photojournalist regarding her death at the Margaryan Maternity Hospital.

According to the relatives, Luiza had been admitted to the hospital for examination four days prior. This morning, she gave birth to her first child, a baby boy. "Unfortunately, our family's joy did not last long. We learned half an hour ago that, under unclear circumstances, Luiza has passed away. We are at a loss for words to express our feelings... It is true that police and investigators have already arrived, but we want those responsible for Luiza's death to be held accountable, so that no family has to endure such a short-lived joy in the future. Just as we were celebrating the birth of the baby, we received the news of the mother’s death," they said.

The relatives blame the doctors for Luiza's death, accusing them of not performing their professional duties adequately. They also mentioned that Luiza had undergone surgery and gave birth via cesarean section. Afterwards, they were informed that she did not wake up from anesthesia and subsequently died. At this moment, the family is seeking answers from the medical staff.
