18+. Exclusive Video of Gang Authority Murder in Yerevan

On August 25, around 18:00, a dispute occurred between gang authorities in front of the "Don Quixote" restaurant in Shengavit. As a result of the gunfire, 43-year-old Hambardzum Arakelyan, considered a gang authority, was killed.

Supermarket owner Sahak Vardanyan was hospitalized with a gunshot wound, and a few days later, his son Yuri Vardanyan was also affected by the incident.

A criminal case has been initiated in the Shengavit investigative department of the RA Investigative Committee under Articles 34-104, Part 2, Clauses 2 and 6 (attempt to murder two or more persons in a manner dangerous to many) and Article 235, Part 1 (illegal possession of weapons and ammunition) of the RA Criminal Code. In addition, another individual, a 1976-born resident of Yerevan, has been involved as a suspect under Article 258, Part 4 and Article 235, Part 1 of the Criminal Code.

A motion has been filed to select detention as a preventive measure against him, and a search order has been issued.
