Murder of 28-Year-Old Woman Revealed in Yerevan: Details
On September 2, at 12:00 PM, a citizen approached the Shengavit Division of the Police and reported that there was a woman's body in one of the apartments on Bruce Street, showing signs of violence and injuries.
The police stated that the responding operational group discovered the body of Nazeli Hovhannisyan, born in 1991, with signs of violence on her neck and various parts of her body.
A criminal case has been initiated under the first part of Article 104 of the RA Criminal Code. Forensic, genetic, and biological examinations have been assigned.
Through joint operational-investigative measures taken by the Yerevan City Police Department, the Central Division, and the NSS personnel, it was determined that the crime was committed by a 35-year-old citizen of Georgia. He was detained on September 3, at 02:50 AM, from one of the hotels in Vanadzor.
He has provided a confession and has been arrested. An investigation is underway.
