Conscripts Arrested on Suspicion of Assaulting Officer

The spokesperson for the Investigative Committee, Naira Harutyunyan, has announced that conscript soldiers have been arrested on suspicion of assaulting an officer. ‘In the investigation conducted by the first garrison investigative division of the Military Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia, one conscript soldier has been arrested on suspicion of committing acts provided for by Part 1 of Article 360 and Part 3, Points 1 and 3 of Article 358 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia. Three more conscripts have also been arrested on suspicion of committing acts as defined by Part 3, Points 1 and 3 of Article 358 of the Criminal Code,’ she wrote. The preliminary investigation into the criminal case is ongoing.
