Video: Georgian and Armenian Burgle House in Haghartsin Village
On August 22, a citizen called the police to report that a theft had occurred at their home in Haghartsin village between 10:30 and 11:00 AM that same day.
Arriving at the scene, officers from the Dilijan division of the police were informed by the victim that intruders had entered through the bedroom window. They had stolen 1,100,000 drams kept in a closet and an additional 40,000 drams left on the bed.
On the same day, a criminal case was initiated. Thanks to operational-investigative measures and investigative actions taken to uncover the crime, the identity of the individuals responsible for the burglary was established by officers from the Dilijan division of police, the Tavush regional administration, and the Dilijan investigation department.
On August 24, the suspects were identified and apprehended under suspicion of theft at the Dilijan police station. One of the three men was of Georgian nationality.
Law enforcement revealed that they had agreed on the burglary on August 21, and the following day, conducted with pre-assigned roles, they traveled to Haghartsin village.
The material damages incurred by the victim have been fully restored.
On the same day, a search of a “Nissan” parked in a secure area of the Dilijan police department discovered a greenish substance resembling narcotics and a pill marked B8. A forensic chemical examination has been appointed. An investigation is ongoing.
