Two Road Segments to Be Reconstructed in Vayots Dzor and Tavush

Two vital road segments will be reconstructed in the Vayots Dzor and Tavush regions.

This follows the signing of a contract between the State Non-Commercial Organization for the Implementation of Transportation Programs and the winning construction companies of the bid.

According to the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, the segments to be reconstructed are approximately 1.4 km long near Getahovit in Tavush and about 2.76 km long near Getap in Vayots Dzor.

Construction work is set to begin in the coming days. The completion of the project is scheduled for the summer of 2020, as outlined in the contract.

The roads will be restored under the additional financing program of the Vital Road Network Improvement Project, funded by the Government of Armenia and the World Bank.
