Altercation Turns Violent In Lori Province Involving Contracted Service Member

An altercation that escalated into a physical confrontation occurred in the territory of the sports school located on Tumanyan Street in Alaverdi, Lori Province. On August 25, around 23:10, 34-year-old Askhanaz Aslanyan from the village of Jojkan and 31-year-old Gevorg Gevorgyan from Alaverdi were discovered at the scene.

The individuals were summoned to the Tumanyan Police Department, where it was revealed that the dispute had arisen over vehicle parking issues. During the argument, both participants engaged in physical blows with their hands and feet, resulting in bodily injuries.

Police in the Tumanyan division have initiated investigative procedures regarding the incident. A forensic medical examination has been ordered. One of the participants, A. Aslanyan, serves as a contracted soldier in the Armenian Ministry of Defense's military unit.
