I am not suffering from nostalgia, but the charm of the Soviet Union lay in its glorification and deification of its heroes. We never managed to replicate that positive trait. We either couldn't or didn't want to, and that’s it... Who would have thought that in an independent but still restless Armenia, the places of many heroes would not be on the Honor Board or in the Book of Glory, but rather on the floor of life or in dreary dungeons...'
