Elon Musk Proposes to Heat Mars Using Mirrors

The idea of transforming the conditions on Mars to make it habitable for humans has captivated minds for quite some time. Recently, billionaire Elon Musk tweeted that numerous nuclear explosions should be carried out on the Red Planet to trigger a climatic reaction, melting billions of tons of ice and releasing carbon dioxide.

However, just a few days later, Musk edited himself and stated in another tweet that instead of bombarding Mars, it should simply be heated using thousands of solar reflectors that would be mounted on satellites. This way, the planet would be warmer, and carbon dioxide would again become present in the atmosphere. Interestingly, Musk did not follow up on this tweet either.
